Avezzano is a town located in the province of L’Aquila in the Abruzzo region. Avezzano is the primary agricultural, industrial, and commercial center for the entire Marsica area. Unfortunately, a majority of Avezzano’s historical attractions were destroyed in an earthquake that hit the area in 1915. However, many enjoy this town because it is perfect for rest and relaxation.
Located at the center of the town is the Piazza Risorgimento and is the primary shopping district in the area.
